"So, tell me about yourself."
Am I the only one who hates that question in an interview?!
I've always had a hard time answering it, but here's my best shot:
- I'm pretty sure I'm a Type A, but have days when I seem very Type B.
- I am my own worst client, as evidenced by my home.
- I can lose hours of my day reading on my Kindle or looking at all the eye candy on Instagram.
- I love to laugh and I love to play. I am not my age. I am as young as I feel, and I don't think I have grown up yet. (:
- I fully acknowledge that everything I have is a blessing from God.
- I miss my mom more and more each day, but I am who I am because of her.
- My husband is not only my best friend and high school sweetheart, but also my partner in
crimebusiness. I love how well we work off of one another! - We live in the country in a small town {less than 5,000 peeps} in South Texas, and I like it, but I loved living in the city, too, and miss it. I'd run away to Europe -- specifically France, Germany or anywhere in Scandinavia, too, if I could.
- I love, love, love design. All aspects of design: interior, exterior, clothing, furniture, home décor, food, automobile, etc. If it can be created, I'm probably into it.
- I love creating things. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, started "designing" in junior high, began dabbling in graphic designs in college, and I am still going. My hands, and brain, can't stop.
- I firmly believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that holds true to design. What one person sees as good design, who am I to contradict that? It may not be my style, but that doesn't make it good or bad.
- I've been told I'm a bit of a Renaissance woman, and I have to agree. There are too many things I want to try and not nearly enough time to do it all!
Because of my love of design, I got my degree in Interior Design {which started as BS in Architecture} from UTSA {Go Roadrunners!}, then began chronicling all my stories here of things I love to do: designing, crafting, baking, sewing, party planning, and whatever else floats my boat. The evolution of all my projects is the best part to me because I love seeing my ideas grow from a spark in my head to the physical, final product, whether it turns out like I imagined, or better or worse! I am now working on my Graphic Design degree, which has become my newest passion.
So take a look at my home renovations, my graphic design endeavors, my attempt to bring junk back to life, my baking & sewing skills put to the test, and whatever else I wanna share with you guys! I hope you enjoy my ramblings!!
